Eastec Show 2013

Another Eastec Show has come and gone and this one was a big success for us.  It was great meeting new customers and talking to our existing ones too!  Seeing our suppliers and opening up some potential new product lines was another great benefit of the Eastec Show this year. 

It has been said that Trade Shows are getting smaller in general and the internet has taken away the need to exhibit at these shows.  I will say that is definitely not the case for us!  I think it is still very important to get that personal connection with the customer instead of just a “live chat” online or email.  This is particularly true with the technical product line that Gaging.com carries.  Customers in general get a feeling of confidence when they are with you face to face discussing an application instead of through electronic correspondence or even by phone.  It lets them know that:

  1. You are a real person/company
  2. You know what you are talking about
  3. You are a successful company that is able to participate in a show like Eastec with the costs incurred to have a booth!

There is no doubt that participating in trade show can be a challenging process.  There is the behind the scenes pre-show preparation that needs to be done, travelling, booth setup, being on your feet all day (thank goodness for double carpet padding, a worthwhile upgrade) and finally booth tear down.  It is not easy, but for us at least, the results were worth it!
