Gaging.com LLC just returned from attending the IMTS in Chicago. It was an excellent show this year that was filled with many new products that we will be adding to our site in the next few weeks. It was great talking to our suppliers again face to face! It looks like there is a real resurgence in American Manufacturing; many of our suppliers telling us that it was the best show in years.
The Fred Fowler booth was showing off a helicopter, tying that in with some part measuring applications. It should also be noted that this was the first IMTS that Fred Fowler Jr. did not attend due to his passing in February and we missed seeing him there. Fowler was showing several new exciting products that we will be adding soon, including the Microgauge bore gage and new Sylvac height gage.
Mahr Federal appeared to us to have increased booth size and their sales manager showed us the new integrated wireless indicator and some of their higher-end pocket surf profilometers. Great products as usual!
Brown and Sharpe / Hexagon Metrology had their usual impressive booth as well. We were very excited to see their brand new IP67 calipers. Check back soon to order online!
Phase II added some improvements to their product line as well. Adding some nice features to their surface finish, coating thickness, and ultrasonic thickness and ultrasonic hardness gages!
We will also be adding several new product lines as a result of this show. I will post a list of them when we finalize our discussions. We are very excited about this indeed as we will be able to offer our customers a bigger selection of high quality measuring equipment!
